Important: “DX Mobile Assistance” is a mockup for demonstration purposes. It is not a real breakdown service. Please use test data only and do not give real personal data (name, phone number, licence plate) during the demo call.

3. What this demo does

In a voice call, the AI assistant “Lena” takes a fictional car breakdown report. The details you give appear in a checklist, you can confirm your location on a map, and a simulated breakdown service is shown driving to you. We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

4. Which data is processed

• Voice and conversation: your microphone audio during the call, the automatic transcript and the details recognised from it (e.g. car, licence plate, name, phone number, description of the breakdown) – whatever you say or type.
• Location: only if you allow it in your browser or place a pin – the coordinates and the address determined from them, plus any garage you name.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, time of access (server logs) – needed to deliver the website.

The app itself has no user accounts and no database: the checklist, map and tracking exist only in your browser and are gone when you reload or close the page.

5. Recipients and services used

• Hosting – Fly.io, Inc. (USA): runs the website (region Frankfurt, Germany) and processes the technical data from section 4.
• Voice AI – ElevenLabs (Eleven Labs Inc., USA, and affiliates): receives your microphone audio and the conversation in real time for speech recognition, the AI responses and speech synthesis, possibly using sub-processors (e.g. AI language model providers). Recordings and transcripts are stored by ElevenLabs on our behalf to evaluate and improve the demo and are deleted after 30 days.
• Maps: map tiles are loaded by your browser from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, UK) and satellite images from Esri (USA); these providers receive your IP address and the map area displayed.
• Addresses, garages, routes: our server sends the coordinates or search terms (without your IP address) to OpenStreetMap Nominatim, Photon (komoot GmbH, Germany) and the OSRM routing service (FOSSGIS e.V., Germany).
• Vehicle images: example photos are loaded from Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons (Wikimedia Foundation, USA) and brand logos via the jsDelivr CDN; these providers receive your IP address. The search for a photo is done by our server using only the car model.

Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA (in particular in the USA), this is based on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. Legal bases

• Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent: by starting the demo call, allowing microphone access and, if you wish, location access, you consent to the processing described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by ending the call or not sharing your location.
• Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest: secure and stable operation of the website, demonstrating and improving our solutions.

7. Storage period

• In the browser: until you reload or close the page.
• Call recordings and transcripts at ElevenLabs: 30 days, then deleted.
• Server logs at the hosting provider: only as long as needed for operation and security.

8. Cookies and tracking

This demo does not set cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or marketing tools.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21), as well as to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To exercise your rights, e.g. to have a call recording deleted early, write to datenschutz@developx.com.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the authority responsible for us: Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (datenschutz-hamburg.de, mailbox@datenschutz.hamburg.de).

11. Changes

We may update this privacy policy when the demo changes. The current version is always available on this page.
